For investors and financial partners

Contracted energy assets, not one-off projects.

Solarwin originates, designs, builds and operates solar systems for businesses and mini farms on rural land. Capital finances the asset; the energy contract pays the return. We're looking for investors and financial partners so the client doesn't have to put up the investment.

Core market

We are a young company that grew without raising capital. Today all of our revenue comes from selling projects outright; the purpose of this conversation is to change that proportion.

Why Colombia and why now

Power prices rose, and will keep rising

End-user tariffs climbed 22.7% in 2026 and the grid is still 67% hydro. Every tariff increase improves the business case for self-generation.

Regulation already opened the models

Laws 1715 and 2099 created the tax incentives, and the CREG enabled remote self-generation: generate at one site and offset consumption at others.

The mid-sized segment is underserved

Between 30 and 500 kWp the ticket is too small for large utilities and too complex for an installer without capital or software. That's where we play.

The bottleneck is financial, not commercial

Demand exists and projects fall through at financial close. Whoever solves paperwork, financing and trust takes the segment.

Two vehicles, one engine

In both, the investor owns a physical asset and is paid for the energy under contract.

Corporate PPAs

The system is installed on the roof of a business, hotel or factory. The client signs a 10–15 year power purchase agreement at a per-kWh rate below the grid. The investor finances the asset; Solarwin builds, operates and maintains.

Mini solar farms

Small-scale plants on rural land, connected to the distribution grid. The energy is sold under contract or offset against nearby users' consumption. A portfolio of mini farms diversifies project risk.

How it works, step by step

The client doesn't buy a system: they buy cheaper energy, under contract.

  1. 1

    We originate and size

Our AI Solar Engineer analyses the client's real bill — or the plot — and sizes the project. It filters in minutes what used to take weeks.

  2. 2

    The investor owns the asset

Capital finances the system. Solarwin develops and builds, tying up neither the client's balance sheet nor its own.

  3. 3

    The contract pays the return

A long-term power purchase agreement at a per-kWh rate below the grid, with a purchase option at the end of the term.

  4. 4

Solarwin operates and answers for it

Operation, maintenance and 24/7 monitoring for the life of the contract. Revenue is recurring and the asset has a 25-year useful life.

The specific structure — vehicle, collateral, term and return — is defined case by case with each partner and formalised by contract, outside this website.

The tax benefits available today

The same ones detailed in every proposal a client signs. How they apply depends on each investor's tax position.

Colombian law offers significant incentives for solar energy projects (Law 1715 of 2014 and Law 2099 of 2021).

50% income tax deduction

Up to 50% of the investment is deductible from your income tax return over the following 15 years.

VAT exclusion

Equipment and services for solar energy projects may be excluded from VAT under current regulations.

Accelerated depreciation

Project assets can be depreciated by up to 33.33% per year, improving cash flow.

How the benefits apply depends on each client's tax situation. We support you through the process.

Transparency and reporting

An energy investor shouldn't have to ask how much their asset generated. What we deliver:

Actual versus projected generation, month by month

System availability and maintenance events

Energy contract billing

Annual operations report per asset

Downloadable investor reports will be available here from the first asset under contract.

The metrics we want to be judged by

We publish them even while they're small. That's rather the point.

MW under contract

Capacity with a signed energy contract, not just installed capacity.

Contracted recurring revenue

What is committed by contract for the years ahead.

Savings delivered

What our clients actually saved against what we promised them.

System availability

The share of time systems are generating as they should.

Do you finance energy assets?

If you're a fund, a family office, a bank with a green lending line or a leasing company, get in touch: we'll share the pipeline and the structure under NDA.

This page is informational. It does not constitute a public offering of securities, an invitation to invest, or financial or tax advice. No figure here is binding; the terms of each investment are formalised by contract. Market figures cited come from public sources (XM, UPME, SER Colombia) and Solarwin's own figures reflect its operations as at the date indicated. Consult your tax adviser on how the benefits of Law 1715 apply to your case.
